A special thanks is extended to the members of the International Coordinating Committee for their dedication to the project and their help in making the celebration a worldwide event.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP
A key component of Global Youth Service Day will be engaging multinational and national companies in supporting voluntary youth service programs. Many companies may also either be implementing employee volunteering and mentoring programs or may be in the process of establishing these. Global Youth Service Day will provide an opportunity for multinational and national corporations to highlight their commitment to engaging youth in service to their communities. In return, companies will receive recognition on Global Youth Service Day publications and web sites, as well as an opportunity to have employees volunteer at youth projects.

Visit the Recognition for Sponsors page, where you can find out more about the various methods GYSD sponsors receive visibility and public exposure. Email us at info@gysd.net to contact us about becoming a National or Global Sponsor of Global Youth Service Day.
ENDORSEMENTS
GYSD Activities in Tajikistan"There are few investments as effective as providing young people the opportunity to give back to their communities through voluntary service. I encourage all people and groups to take advantage of Global Youth Service Day to highlight the power of partnership between young people and adults, and between youth organizations and the public and private sectors to create healthy youth and healthy communities."

Enrique Iglesias,
President,
Inter-American Development Bank

"I have hope that stems in large part from my knowledge that the future of this planet lies in the tremendous energy, enthusiasm, and commitment of young people around the world. I have often said that every individual counts, every individual has a role to play, and every individual makes a difference. Global Youth Service Day proves it. Let us support this opportunity to move forward with hope -- with faith in ourselves and in our intellect. And let's celebrate the indomitable spirit of youth."

Jane Goodall,
Founder,
The Jane Goodall Institute

GYSD Activities in Ukraine"The United Nations can never succeed alone. Only by forming partnerships with governments, the private sector, and civil society around the world, can it change lives, save lives, strengthen democracy and human rights, and offer support, comfort, and protection to the poor, the sick, and the dispossessed. Volunteers are some of our most valued partners, and Global Youth Service Day celebrates the efforts of the youngest of them. These young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow; they can play a leading role in the development of their communities today. Let us hope that their good works today blossom into lifelong commitments that will benefit all the world's people."

Kofi Annan,
Secretary-General,
United Nations

"Youth play a special role in fostering the spirit of hope necessary to make the world a better place. Global Youth Service Day is a remarkable initiative because it channels the passion and dedication of youth in addressing the world's challenges, not only for one day, but for a lifetime. The Better World Fund is proud to be a sponsor of Global Youth Service Day as it empowers youth to become leaders for change and development in their communities and throughout the world."

Timothy E. Wirth,
President,
