PLEASE NOTE:
NATIONAL LEAD AGENCIES (NLAs) are responisible for the overall coordination and reporting of Global Youth Service Day celebrations across the country, including organizing specific volunteer projects, organizing media campaigns and pulling together a National Coordinating Committee (NCC) of partner organizations who will implement local community-service projects to mark the celebrations. NLAs are also responsible for reporting back to the GYSD Secretariat on all activities held within the country and by the NCC, including summary information, pictures and copies of any media, for the compilation of the final report in each cycle.
LOCAL ORGANIZERS are organizations that wish to implement projects or activities to mark the GYSD celebrations, especially in countries where a National Lead Agency has already been selected, but without the level of responsibility assigned to NLAs. Local Organizers may be invited by the existing NLA to join a National Coordinating Committee, and are required to submit their own reports, both to the existing NLA and GYSD Secretariat, immediately following the celebrations.
